Expanding Into the Wisconsin Market: RACOM Acquires Two-Way Communications in Eau Claire

We are happy to announce that as of April 1, 2015, we reached a final agreement with Don and Diane Schuknecht to acquire Two-Way Communications, Inc. of Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Since 1985, Two-Way Communications has been providing wireless communication products to public safety, business, industry, and manufacturing entities. In fact, Two-Way started on April 1, 1985 — it was purely coincidental (and interesting) that it was EXACTLY 30 years later that RACOM purchased the company.

This acquisition announcement comes with much excitement as it is part of our strategic growth strategy to increase market share and add depth. By bringing in more industry-experienced sales and technical staff, we will be even better equipped to deliver on our mission of providing best-in-class, mission-critical communications solutions throughout the Midwest.

At this time, I would like to extend a warm welcome to everyone at Two-Way Communications, the newest members of the RACOM family.

During the next few months, we will be transitioning the Two-Way Communications company name to the RACOM brand, at which time you can expect to see branding changes implemented in a variety of ways on our website and in our sales literature, company letterhead, and invoices.

As we transition, Don and Diane will stay on for a few months to help make sure that things go smoothly. They are truly wonderful, caring people — and we are so appreciative of their willingness to be a resource for all of us. We’ll be better positioned because of them and for that we’re grateful!

As a new chapter in Eau Claire begins, Dave Spenle will be at the helm as the new Service Center Manager. Dave has been with Two-Way Communications for 13 years in the position of Technician and Service Manager and has 25 years of industry experience. Congratulations, Dave!

And our best wishes go to Don and Diane. May you enjoy much success in all your future endeavors no matter where life takes you. It has been a pleasure working with you over the years as a HARRIS Dealer — we’re going to miss you both!
